All ACE families are required to maintain a valid credit card on file. The card may be charged under the following circumstances:
By enrolling, families acknowledge and authorize ACE to charge the credit card on file for any qualifying unpaid balances in accordance with this policy.
3-Day / 4-Day Eligibility Program
4-Day Attendance Program
The 4-Day Attendance Program is required for all students receiving the FES-EO, FTC, and **enrolled FES-UA scholarships. In addition, all PEP and *unenrolled FES-UA NEW students in grades 3-12 will begin the school year on the 4-day attendance schedule. (PEP and unenrolled FES-UA students in grades K-2 have the option of attending the 3 or 4 day program beginning at the start of school and may continue based on meeting performance requirements.)
NEW PEP families who wish to participate in the 3 day schedule, will have the opportunity to apply once school begins. Applicants will be evaluated at the conclusion of the first semester by school administration and teachers who will review their academic performance, assignment completion, attendance, behavior, and overall effort of all PEP and unenrolled FES-UA students. Students who are in good standing and meet the eligibility criteria outlined below may be offered the opportunity to transition to the 3-Day Attendance Program beginning in the second semester, if desired.
3-Day Attendance Program Eligibility (PEP and Unenrolled FES-UA Students)
Beginning in the second semester, PEP and unenrolled FES-UA students who consistently demonstrate excellent classroom behavior, submit assignments on time, maintain satisfactory academic progress, and show a strong commitment to their studies may be eligible to transition to a 3-day on-campus attendance schedule.
Eligibility for the 3-day schedule is determined solely at the school’s discretion and is based on the student’s overall academic performance, work completion, attendance, behavior, and effort. Students who are experiencing academic difficulties, failing to complete assignments consistently, or not meeting grade-level expectations will be required to remain on the 4-day attendance schedule.
Students approved for the 3-day schedule must continue to maintain satisfactory grades, timely assignment completion, and positive classroom behavior throughout the school year. Failure to maintain these standards may result in an administrative conference outlining required corrections to be made. Failure to correct items discussed may result in reassignment to the 4-day attendance schedule at the school’s discretion.
*Unenrolled Student – An FES-UA student who is registered with the Brevard County School Superintendent’s Office as a home education student cannot be enrolled as a private school student. PEP scholarship students are considered enrolled under SUFS home education program and cannot be enrolled as a private school student, however, are allowed to attend classes at the private school. For scholarship purposes, we refer to these students as “unenrolled”. Both are allowed to attend a private school and manually submit quarterly tuition to ACE through the SUFS Marketplace. This tuition payment is NOT automatically deducted from your student’s EMA account. Automatic deductions are only designated for FTC, FES-EO, and enrolled FES-UA scholarship students.
Any parent wishing to enroll their FES-UA student with ACE will need to complete and sign an ACE Enrollment Request form and submit a Letter of Termination of their Home Education Program to the Brevard County Superintendent’s office. PEP students may attend classes at ACE, but cannot be enrolled, will not have official records/transcripts kept, and will not receive a diploma from ACE.
All new students in 9th-12th grades, who have been in a homeschooled program, and now desire to be enrolled as a private school student, will need to submit proof of any prior credits received toward graduation at the time of submitting an ACE Enrollment Request form prior to beginning school. Any delay in submitting proof of prior credits or the ACE Enrollment Request form, may result in a delay of beginning school.
**Enrolled Student – FTC, FES-EO, and any FES-UA students opting into enrollment. These students will have official records and attendance kept by the school and will receive an official diploma upon completion of the required credits necessary for graduation.
FES-UA Students – All students who receive the FES-UA scholarship MUST submit prior paperwork, such as IEP, 504, etc., that was used to have the student approved for the FES-UA scholarship. Any delay in submitting this paperwork may result in a delay of the student beginning school.
